Why do Reviewers get revoked?

Leo Comia Updated by Leo Comia

When a document is sent for review in Prompt, each Reviewer’s access is controlled by the Review period set at the time of sending. Once this period expires, their access is automatically revoked to maintain document security and workflow integrity.

Why Reviewers Lose Access

  1. Review Period Expiration
  • When you send a document for review, you set a Review Priority (Urgent, High, Medium, or Low), which determines the review due date.
  • Once the allotted review period has passed, all Reviewers’ access is revoked.
  • This prevents outdated feedback from being added after the intended review window.
  1. Re-Invites and New Invites
  • If you re-invite an existing Reviewer or invite a new Reviewer to an ongoing review and the allotted review period has passed, their access will only remain valid for 24 hours from the time of the invite.

How to Verify the Review Due Date

You can confirm the review due date from the email sent to the Reviewer. This date is clearly stated in the message body.

How to Extend the Review Period

If the review period has expired, but you still need feedback:

  1. Cancel the Current Review in Prompt.
  2. Check out the Document again.
  3. Set a New Review Priority when resending for review.
  4. Re-invite Reviewers with the updated due date.
