How to Discontinue Copying from Another Organisation

Permissions Required: Prompt Admin or Admin

If your organisation has copied or linked documents from another organisation in Prompt, you can discontinue the copy process or remove the link at any time.

Follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Home.
  2. Click Link List.

You will see a list of all documents that have been copied or linked from other organisations.

  1. Under the Destination Document column, click the Document Information icon.
  2. Review the Status of the document. The status will determine the available action.
If the Status is Copied

This means the document has been copied but is still linked to the source organisation.

You have two options:

Option 1: Cancel the Copy Process

  • Click Cancel
  • This will discontinue the copying process.

Option 2: Keep Your Copy but Remove the Link

  • Click Remove
  • This keeps your copied document but removes the link to the original organisation.
If the Status is Active

This means the copied document is active in your system and linked to the source organisation.

If you want to remove the link from the other organisation:

  • Click Remove

This will remove the connection to the source organisation while keeping your document in your system.

Clicking Remove does not delete your document. It only removes the link to the original organisation. Always confirm the document status before taking action to ensure you select the correct option.
