Overview

This article explains what happens to your Prompt documents when In-Drafting is turned off for your organisation.

In-Drafting is an org setting, listed under:
Admin > Manage Organisation > Drafting Process > Enable Drafting

Documents that have not reached version 1:

  1. If a document is currently in the Draft or Review stage.
  2. And Drafting for your organisation is turned off by a Prompt Administrator.
  3. The document will be deleted completely and it cannot be re-enabled.

Documents that are version 1 or greater:

  1. If a document is currently in the Draft or Review stage.
  2. And Drafting for your organisation is turned off by a Prompt Administrator.
  3. The outcome will depend on if you have DA submissions on or off for your org.
DA submissions is an org setting, listed under:
Admin > Manage Organisation > Submission Process > Enable DA Submissions

Scenario A: Enable DA Submissions is Off

  • The document will have a Submit button and it will be found in the Check Out tab.

Scenario B: Enable DA Submissions is On

  • The document will have a Check-In button and it will be found in the Check Out tab.

Conclusion

Understanding these rules is essential for managing Prompt document lifecycle stages effectively. Ensure that drafting is only turned off when necessary to prevent unintended deletions or changes in document availability.
