Purpose

This article explains how to find a disabled user in Prompt and reactivate their account so they can log in again.

In Prompt, disabling a user removes them from active user lists and prevents them from signing in.
Permissions Required: Prompt Admin or User Admin

Steps to Locate a Disabled User

  1. Navigate to Admin → Manage Users.
  2. In the search filters near the top:
    • Enter the user’s name or email address.
    • Make sure to tick “View Disabled” so the search results include disabled user accounts.
  3. Press Search to view all matching users, including those currently disabled.

How to Reactivate the Disabled User

Once you’ve located the disabled user:

  1. From the search results, right next to the user's display name, click Enable
  2. The status will change from Disabled to Pending.
  3. After reactivation, Prompt will automatically send a password reset token to the user’s email address. They must use that link to set a new password and complete their reactivation.
